Fukui Cheerful Senior Club Part2, Establishment of the club and its history

I interviewed Mr. Yoshioka, the vice president of the club about their process of establishment and how it was progressed.

While he was speaking in a gentle way, how he strongly said about the motto of the club : "Study lifetime, Youth lifetime, Feel lifetime" and that left an impression.

 

In a building at the east gate of Fukui station, "AOSSA", there are restaurants, commercial facilities and other several ones owned by Fukui city and Fukui prefecture. Fukui Cheerful Senior Club which was established in January 2013 used to rent some of the meeting rooms in this building for their meetings and activities.

 

The street which is extended from the west gate of Fukui station is as known as "Densha Dori" (tram street). And it is a main shopping area in the central part of Fukui City. In this area, there is a building called "Eco Life Plaza" which is the current location of Fukui Cheerful Senior Club.

 

As you enter from the entrance of Eco Life Plaza, you will see a local sake specialty shop, "Kuzuryu Jizake Hyakuzou" which has many bottles of Sake from Fukui on display and they may catch your attention. You will see a nostalgic elevator in front of the sake shop and go up to the 4th floor. Then, there is the main office of Fukui Cheerful Senior Club "Ekimae Yorozu-chaya". They have monthly meetings and several kinds of activities there.

 

Next time, Mr. Yoshioka, the vice president of the club will explain about their activities.
