Brilliant and unique local companies in Fukui [PR for Fukui]

In Fukui Prefecture, there are many companies
which are deeply engaged in manufacturing and providing services in the local area.
This year, Fukui Prefecture newly gave awards to six companies so that people boost recognition of small and medium-size companies which contribute toward the revitalization of industrial development and regional economy. They held the award ceremony on February 7th.
The company that was chosen as the best award was Ryusen Hamono which produces Echizen blades. Their products are used in a famous restaurant in Europe and have gathered attention.
Awards of excellence went to the following five companies.
Nishimura Precision produces the reading glasses called "paper glass" which is 2mm thick made in Sabae City.
Vinegar shop Tobaya which produces rice vinegar with the traditional skill lasting more than 300 years.
Wakoya which national vice-champion of coffee roaster provides customized coffee beans.
Matsuda shop which provides popular rice bowl with female crab and operates mobile fresh fish vending.
Kobori sweets shop sells sweets which used local cooking ingredients such as Higashiura mandarin orange.
