Kaneko Optical is proud to manufacture eyeglass frames under an integrated production system in its factories in the famous city of Sabae. While division of labor is mainstream in the local eyewear industry, Kaneko Optical is one of the rare eyewear manufacturers who chose the in-house production of its frames. Craftsmen at Kaneko Optical are continuously working to bring in innovation by pairing traditional materials and craftsmanship with the latest technologies.
Kaneo Optical has two flagship stores in Ginza and Minami Aoyama. Also, they have many shops in shopping malls and department stores. They have currently have 44 shops in Japan and one shop in New York.
This video shows how the brand produces its frames at the BACKSTAGE, its plastic frame factory, and GLASSWORKS, its metal frame factory which belongs to one of its group companies. Through this footage, we would like to share our passion and values for eyewear craftsmanship.
