Speakers

Dr. Takeshi Yoro

Graduated from Faculty of Medicine, the University of Tokyo in 1962. Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo. "The Wall of Fools" written by him has sold over four million copies. He loves insects and now works on environmental issues.

 

Dr. Isoya Shinji

Doctor of Agriculture. Active in landscape and environment policy, and regional planning as landscape and environmentology academic.
President of Fukui Prefectural University, Director of Fukui Prefectural Satoyama-Satoumi Research Institute

 

Mr. Yasuhiko Ito

Producer of natural history video. Naturalist. Graduated from Gakushuin University and Minnesota State University. Traveled around the world in more than two decades as a director of nature programs. His great-grandfather was Hirofumi Ito, who was the first Prime Minister.

 

Professor Toshihiro Tsukihara (coordinator)

Graduated from Kyoto University. When he was a university student, he took the first step into the snowman trekking route and looked up Chomo Lhari of Himalaya for the first time. He visits Bhutan nearly every year. Professor of Global and Community studies department of University of Fukui. His specialty is geography. The vice president of Bhutan Museum.
