Having ramen noodles on the mountain

2019.02.13

Random thoughts

In the story of this week's morning drama, "Manpuku", which is based on the true story of Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Food Products Co. Ltd. and the inventor of instant ramen noodles, the main character of the drama has successfully invented the instant ramen noodles. It looks like it is reaching a climax of the story.

When I go hiking, I often see people making the instant ramen noodles in the mountains.
A friend in the photograph above also dreamed of making one at the summit. She had even prepared a boiled egg and some vegetables as toppings for her ramen noodles.

I don't cook on mountains. I was just flying a drone around there while nibbling biscuits.

Fragile life of digital data

2019.02.05

Random thoughts

I found that the short animation that I made a long time ago was unable to play, so I converted the data format into a new one to see it again.

Pictures drawn on rocks can be seen after tens of thousands of years, paper or clothes may last for a thousand years, and phonograph records and pre-recorded tapes are good for several decades. The newer a media is, the shorter the life of it becomes.

Digital data can be seen only a few years. In terms of leaving a legacy for the future, the vast amount of the data that being accumulated every day might not be useful.

Klee on street corners

2018.12.19

Random thoughts

Walking through the streets, sometimes some traces in the landscape caught my attention.
Especially a triangle that remains on the wall is interesting. It's lost the roof, and now it looks like an abstract painting.
Although it doesn't actually look like Klee's works at all, I'm reminded of them.

This is a comparatively realistic mountain whose background looks like clouds drawn with an airbrush.

This work has a high degree of abstraction. The arrangement of the elements is cool, such as the straight lines carved sharply on the wall surface, curving lines of piping and the small circle of the ventilation.

My bag's capacity

2018.12.11

Random thoughts

I took out all the contents from my bag, Sacoche made by Morino Canvas in Japan. I bought this small bag in January of 2017, so it has been almost two years since then.

Although I thought once or twice about buying a so-called business bag for commuting, I don't have to worry wherever I go, as long as I can carry the stuffs shown above.

So I have been using it after all.

Eye of emotions, eye of science

Above is the cloud I saw when I climbed Mt.Nogo-hakusan between Fukui and Gifu Prefectures the other day. I took the picture because it looked like a white seal. Even though I know that clouds are water drops, I am impressed by their shapes, like they are cute, beautiful or amazing.

There were explanatory plates of the Nukumi Fault Groove in the middle of the climbing path of the mountain. Although I thought it was just a dried-up stream when I saw the groove, I could see the dynamic landscape like the whole mountain is moving after reading the commentary.

It is interesting to be impressed whether it is an emotional perspective or a scientific one.
