Cool shower at Senko-no-Ie (the oldest samurai house in Fukui) , August 11th, 2019　

A pumping sound echoes in a mountain village surrounded by greenery.

At Senko-no-Ie, which is an old folk house and an important national cultural asset, located in Takeda district, Maruoka Town, Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, the annual fire-prevention equipment water-discharge exercise called "Cool shower" was held. On August 11th(Mountain Day), it was held for five minutes three times from 2:00 p.m.. The extreme heat that I was sweating a lot just standing outside was tempered by the water-discharge exercise.

Around the house, there were many visitors with cameras.

The Senko-no-Ie looks cool after the water-discharge exercise.
