"Cinderella who speaks a Japanese dialect in Fukui"

I had an opportunity to meet one of the members of a recitation play's group "Rikka".

They perform mainly in Fukui City and I saw their presentation of the recitation play course

called “First step in a recitation play, Spring presentation!”.

This was my first experience to see a recitation play's performance

and it was very interesting, especially the last play of their presentation

“Cinderella who speaks Fukui dialect” was hilarious.

Overall, it was 30 minutes long which is pretty long as a video to upload though,

I can't wait to subtitle this video, so I hereby post the prerelease version.

Please enjoy watching it.

Mr. Kimura's Guitar

Mr. Kimura from the music group, “Jonetsu Gundan” (Passionate Group),

he had performed twice in Fukui this year.

He is the guitarist who plays in bands such as

“BRIGHT EYES super-duper (Rock)”, “Kimura Brothers (Folk)” and “HAKKI (Instrumental Duo)”.

How does he play the guitar even though he is deaf?

The MC for the events, Mr. WIZARD said that it must be the guitar which he plays.

I found a video from YouTube, “The Shadow’s TV X” in which you can see

how Mr. Kimura collaborated with Yairi Guitar from Gifu Prefecture to make his guitar.

Although I understand from the video that

the neck of his guitar is made for the sound to be felt easier,

I still think it must be difficult to feel and know each note.

As I listened to  Mr. Kimura saying that

“not only for the people with no hearing,

I also want people who became older and started having hearing difficulty to use this guitar”,

I thought that this guitar must be the good news

for anyone with any types of hearing problem.

Without Mr. Kimura, we would not have this guitar today.

"Go Further Ahead" performed by Hideto Matsuura

This is another breakaway broadcasting.

Because the guitar string was snapped, a singer song writer, Hideto Matsuura suddenly sang his own theme song, “Go Further Ahead” on the piano.

Matsuura had been critically ill and stayed in the hospital for half a year, recovered from it and returned to a normal life. All of his songs were made based on his experience. Even though I have never been critically ill or seriously injured, I sometimes can’t walk and/or even stand up. Every time I can’t walk or stand, I don't think that there is much difference between people with disabilities and ones without it. His song cheers up everyone whether one has disabilities or not.

Performed by a music group, “Prospute” on March 20th, 2016, at Bhutan Museum in Fukui City, in a music live event, “Musication, Oasis” which was held as a part of a commemorative event of International Day of Happiness.

※ "Prospute" is a music group supporting people with disabilities mainly in Nagoya. "Prospute" was established with selective musicians from the music cheering group “Jonetsu Gundan” (Passionate Group).

Heartwarming musical unit by a married couple in Fukui “Kobato Sango”

There was an annual concert at a neighbor’s community center the other day.
The performer of this year was a musical unit “Kobato Sango” which is a married couple.
The husband Kobayashi is a teacher of erhu and plays the guitar too.
And his wife with the stage name Sango from Osaka, who is pretty and soothing,
sings and plays Okinawan instrument sanshin.
Their repertoire is “The song for Fukui City”, “Asadoya Yunta”, “Flowers”, ”Sukiyaki” etc.
Especially, “Turkish March” by erhu which Kobayashi plays is definitely worth a watch.
Also, Okinawan folk songs by Sango with her clear voice are so charming.
They have released a CD.
You can not only enjoy their performance but also their witty dialogue is amusing.
They are laid-back persons and it makes you feel warm inside. (H.S)

The music which gives me courage

I have not made the subtitles for this video yet so this is a breakaway broadcasting though…

On February 28th, Mr. Kimura Masaaki performed at the music live show,

“Musication, Oasis” conducted by a music cheering group,

“Jounetsu Gundan” (Passionate Group).

This event was held on the second floor of Bhutan museum in Fukui City.

Actually, he is a guitarist who is deaf.

He lost his hearing completely when he was a child, he did not lose his hearing as a guitarist. After losing his hearing, he self-educated himself music. He is such a courageous person.

When he was a junior high school student, Mr. Kimura saw the performance of the singer, Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi.

He was so impressed by his live show and it made him want to start playing music as well.

But how?

He explained that he feels music from his palms which hold the guitar neck,

I can never imagine how it is.
The effort which he has made for him to come this far, I cannot ever imagine.

My imagination to imagine how and what it has been like to be in his shoes can never become enough, this is very clear for me to imagine.

He is cool.

I could not see him playing live, so I saw it on the video later on and it gave me courage.

In addition, “Jonetsu Gundan” will be playing in an event will be held at the same venue on Sunday, March 20th.
