One of three major festivals in Hokuriku, the annual Mikuni Festival that is designated as an intangible cultural property by Fukui Prefecture, was held from May 19th to 21st. This video is about the festival in 2017 from Sakai City's official YouTube channel.

On the May 20th, the featured six doll floats parade in the old part of Mikuni Town, Sakai City.

Local elementary school students play drums on the floats. They practice so much for the festival.

Rotating the floats at an intersection is the main attraction of the festival. They do it dynamically and get the visitors excited.

The parade continued into the night and many people enjoyed the festival until late at night.
