Katsuyama Sagicho Dondo-yaki

"Dondo-yaki" is a common New Year's event in Japan. "Dondo-yaki" means a bonfire of the New Year's sacred decorations, such as pine branches, bamboos, and straw ropes.
In Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture, it's held on a large scale on the last weekend of February to close the Katsuyama Sagicho Festival known for its unique traditional musical performance.
