Here is the video ”Shirotori dance festival", which was provided by Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture.
There are eight dances in Shirotori dance festival. They are different from Gujo dance. It has different music and different dance style. That said, Shirotori dance also has been danced by many generations the same way as Gujo dance. ”Gensukesan”, one of Shirotori dances is the most popular one with young dancers because of its upbeat style.
The festival is held for a period of about 20 nights from the end of July to the beginning of September. During the four days of Obon (August 13 through 15, commemorating one's ancestor), dances continue through the night until the morning.
