As we introduced in our previous video that I visited Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture with Mr. Ugyen Dorji and his family. After we left the museum, we headed to Seidai-ji Temple to see Echizen Daibutsu (the Great Buddha of Daishizan Seidai-ji Temple).

The Great Buddha of Daishizan Seidai-ji Temple is 2 meters taller than the Great Buddha of Nara!

Many people usually get overwhelmed and/or scared because the Great Buddha of Daishizan Seidaji-ji Temple is so big. Mr. Ugyen Dorji’s son who is only 2 years old didn’t get overwhelmed and/or scared. As soon as he walked into the Hall of the Great Buddha, he was running around with smile.

Gojyuu-no-tou, five-story pagoda

Gojyuu-no-tou (five-story pagoda) is about 75 meters tall.

It is so tall that it looks so hard for visitors to get to the top floor. There is an elevator available, so visitors can go up easily and enjoy the scenery from the top floor.
