Mt. Mitoko (279.8 meters high) is on the border between Sabae City and Echizen Town, Fukui Prefecture and its view from the top is one of the 100 hometown views of Fukui. It is said that there was a mountain castle called Mitokogatake-jo Castle on the top. Ishodani-cho located at the foot of the Mt. Mitoko is designated as a promotion district of traditional houses' preservation and practical use, where a nostalgic scenery of the countryside with village forest behind can be seen. TAKE02901 introduces the Mt. Mitoko while running.
