The birth of the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum (FPDM)

In Fukui prefecture, many dinosaur fossils have found since the excavation research has started in 1989. Based on the research achievements, Fukui prefecture opened the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum (FPDM) in 2000. The exhibition is at a high level for the quality and quantity. Also, FPDM is appreciated for one of the world's top three dinosaur museums with Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Canada and Zigong Dinosaur Museum in China.
