The Uchiyama family produced Ryokyu Uchiyama (chief retainer) and his younger brother Ryusuke Uchiyama, who made a large contribution to the fiscal reconstruction of Ono Domain at the end of the Edo Period. The former Uchiyama family residence (national tangible cultural property) is a building that was dismantled Uchiyama’s residence at that time and restored in 1993 to commemorate the deed of the siblings who made a large contribution for fiscal reconstruction of Ono Domain at the end of the Edo Period.
The Former Uchiyama family residence is located near Echizen Ono Yui Station.
