Reporter of PR for Fukui, Naoko Matsuda introduces the activities to protect
Satochi-Satoyama in Awara City and the pre-symposium of
“SATOYAMA Initiative International Convention” which was held in June, 2013.
On that day of taking the video, Namimatsu elementary school students and the members of “Association to love the nature in Awara” conducted researches on living things.

To think about the present and future of Fukui’s Satoyama, Fukui Prefecture conducted the pre-symposium of “SATOYAMA Initiative International Convention 2013 in Fukui” which will be held in September, 2013.
At the pre-symposium, seminars and lectures which the participants could learn about the charms of Satoyama and the importance of conserving Satoyama from were held.
